Thanks for the comment (and the advertisement). Oil from shale may be a promising
future source, but I was under the impression that the technology to economically produce in an environmentally acceptable process just isn’t here yet. Regardless Kent – please keep us informed as the technology for producing from oil shale becomes more economically and environmentally viable. After all – Israel has the world’s second biggest oil shale reserves?

I believe that Zion Oil and Gas has excellent intentions to discover oil in Israel. However, Zion is chasing high risk ventures with costly drilling costs and limited results. If Zion desires to lower their risk and increase their chances of success of producing oil that will result in a higher stock price they should follow the lead of Israel Energy Initiative, subsidiary of Genie Energy, and develop oil shale that is abundant in the Shfela Basin, to the south and west of Jerusalem. The 2 ingredients for success are obtaining the license in or nearby the Shfela Basin from the Israeli government and licensing a novel, environmentally friendly technology from http://www.esteamoil.com.

with its American partner were behind the discovery.
I take it that Zion Oil is not connected with this find?

I heard about Zion Oil over 2 years ago in my church they had a speaker from the company. I have watched the stock and read most of the articles. My questions are, they have been drilling in Israel since 2007. They are pretty deep in their digging I believe about 19,000 feet down with no discoveries yet. They state they feel the oil is about 20 to 22 thousand feet. The stock is at $5.00 and was as high as 12 many years ago. Would love to invest but got burned twice with Stocks.
